I couldn't call you earlier, I've been going crazy all day getting
things together but I hope very much that it will be possible to
get some support -- I know you would probably put it differently
with a unilateral withdrawal. [We want to get] serious negotiations
off the ground with a show of unity.
V:
Let me tell you what I have written down here. I welcome and
support the President's proposal to end the killing and move
toward a truly representative South Vietnamese Government.
This is the right policy, I hope everyone will get behind it and
give it a chance. I've been trying to get hold of the New York
Times and can't reach them.
K:
Do you want me to --

You can put it out down there.
K:
Would you read it to me again.
