C: There will be coming up a vacancy on the President's foreign intelligence
advisory board. Gov. Connally is on it and he is going to Treasury. I would
like to suggest Gen. A. Wedemeyer. He has been a civilian for 20 years. An
excellent man. Former 4 star general.
K: I know him well.
C: Wide experience in writings plus he has been a generous, loyal helper of the
President.
K: I will give the President his name. I don't work on this.
C. It's in your line of responsibility.
K: I will present his name to the President in the next few days. I know him
personally and have had the privilege of talking with him several times. His
name will be presented to the President in the next few days.
