K: I just wanted you to know I have cancelled the thing. Colson and
Buchanan are taking them for a drink, saying I got tied up.
R: I don't want the President to think I am a burden.
K: No, you are right. Look, I would not have cancelled it if I thought you
were wrong.
R: If the President wants to do something he does not have to get my
permission.
K: The reason I called you was because we all had agreed there was not
going to be one. Therefore we have to stick to the agreement.
R: No reason why we have to stick with the agreement -- we can change
it.
K: I think we should cancel it now and if the lid is lifted we can do it
together.
