You really ought to look at the papers we are coughing up to you. The question you raised today about what on the Jordanian side could we do. K: I know what the papers say. I know it but the President did not know it. S: I thought your contribution was very good and I thought that the meeting went very well. Everyone was able to get what they thought in. The Secretary did not want to bulldoze the President. He just wanted to go over everything step by step so that he would have a complete understanding. The poor guy, I know he has a lot of things on his mind. K: I am not sure he understood the Jordanian stand or the situation and by pretending that it is going to be easier next time. secure frontiers and '67 frontiers. I don't know if he knew the difference between them. S: Not a hell of a lot. Another thing. Nobody advised that the President get involved himself at this stage. We have a series of problems coming up with Israel. It is the beginning of the rocky road.
