M: I am up in Berkley.
K: How have you been?
I
M: Very well. Fine. I had thought xxxxxmight be seeing you this week but I
gather you will be there while we are meeting here.
K: The President thought it would be a good idea if I met with the editorial
board of the LATimes. My influence isn't off that I want to volunteer and I
wondered if you could check with Otis.
M: I will check it.
K: Could you get me an invitation?
M: How long are you here?
K: Sunday night and Monday morning.
M: It should be before Sunday.
K: Fri. would be tox good for me. Thurs. is another possibility.
M: I will call Otis this afternoon when I get home to L. A. and then I suspect
we should leave it this way
K: Let him call k me if he is interested. Make it clear I am not seeking it.
M: I will say I was talking about FIA. M and since he is out here it occured to
me that perhpas you want him to come up. How are you? Physically and other-
wise.
K: Well. some people in liberal press who doubt my mental capabilities.
M: I doubt that. I will see you in a couple of months.
K: Let me know when you come east. Lunch or something.
M: I will call Otis this afternoon.
