Now that I've got Okinawa out of the way I've got Madagascar.

I know about your concern last night.

No, but I said I would clear the cable. I just said my own feeling,
and this is not something in which I think the White House authority
should enter into, my feeling is that when people kick you around
we ought to let them know that it is dangerous.
J:
I have no problem with that. We are dealing here with a psychotic.

I bow to your judgment.

I want to borrow Marshall Wright to send out to get out a message.
K:
You want my good men. I think it should be taken care of at the
State Department. Why do you need Marshall?
J:
Well, for two reasons. First, I think Marshall is good. Second,
it does give a little White House flavor to this thing that could be
useful at this time.

think very highly of him, but

Yes, I do, too, but what I would like to do is send Marshall, Dave
Newsome and the Country Director.
