When we talked to them, only gave them side issues and never
mentioned principle issues.

They went out of the way to be more cordial than before -- trying
to tell me not to be too upset by the harshness of the words.
HK:
When you consider what we are doing, it is rather mild.
W:

Not before the 30th! Is it your understanding that these advance
people -- that they have agreed to technical people coming along.
W:

Actually from this you can not conclude either that they approve or
disapprove.

Fairly cordial.

No, no; it is going to get tougher. We are doing some highly
objectionable things. Can you stand by for 15 minutes, I have got
