K: Just talked with the President. There's a slight problem on Wed. because
he might give a press conference on Thurs. night. Not announced yet. So
he suggested Friday afternoon but I just checked his schedule and he is going
to W. Va. which he forgot. You think it shouldn't go beyond Wed. ? All
I
need is a determination.
J: I don't think it should to go beyond Wed.
K: Then I will take the responsibility to go with it. How much time? He
shouldn't do the negotiating.
J: We have to take with him first here. I think he has to speak with David,
Peter, or the Secy. or me.
K: If after that he knows what's going on, he knows better then me. We don't wa:
the Presidentdix involved unless we see an agreement. I will explain to the
President and set an hour on Wed.
