R: Wanted you to know I am thinking of you. I am sure you will find some way
out. Little Nelson said "Daddy, you can't win them all. " I am here to serve the
people. I thought they should do it and they didn't SO we will make the cut. I
appreciate it. We have to deal with the realities too.
K: I am having more trouble from my own people then the Chinese. We have
the semi-annual State Dept. attack on the WH.
R: What are you going to do on planesfor Israel? Can I say at a Jewish dinner tonight
that I agree with Golda Meir that there is no sense in talking until she has the planes?

K: You are a man of conviction. (I cannot tell you what to say. )
R: I hope the President when he is in Moscow will say that he will ask for the
release of Jewish primoners.
K: I think the Israelis are happy about those that the Russians are letting out.
They are leeting out 10, 000 a year. So go soft on that.
R: That's very helpful. That's more then a trickle.
K: You asked me to dinner next Wed. No particular occasion?
R: Just some friends of yours. A friendly party. We take for granted you are
away and then we thought you might like to come.
K: Could I let you know next Monday?
R: Sure. Thanks for calling. You are nice. Do you have plane facilities?
K: If I didn't have to use them it's easier.
R: I could send down a jet. It takes 30 mins. I have to go. I have Sen. Bridges
on the phone.
K: Some on is keeping a log. I will check with Ann Whitman.
