S: I want a picture of you in your
Mao
jacket by the Greatx Wall.
That was a marvelous picture of you with the group, but you're starting to
look yellow. How aas it?
K: It was great.
S: Did you eat too much Peking duck?
K: Too much of everything.
S: Did you?
K: I gained four pounds.
S: That's not so bad. I wanted to tell you one thing and ask you another.
I just got a copy of a new paper we are doing called "W".
K: About women?
S: It's an extension of Women's Wear, but cuts out all the retail angle.
The first edition went to 300,000 andthe first and back page has a story on you.
K: Which you did?
S: Yes, I'll send you a copy. Second, CBS-TV just called and asked if I
am going to China, I said I don't know.
K: I don't know, I am not making up the list. It hasn't been made up
yet. But the figure varies between 8 and 12
S: Planeloads?
K: No, people.
S: Seriously?
K: No, it hasn't been decided yet.
S: I wonder if you can stillkx help me to get on.
K: If there is a chance I will put ina good word for you.
S: That would be very nice. It's an important trip to do obviously.
K: They will take the maximum number they can handle,
S: I know. I know that I would never be able to do it without you.
K : That's the way; inflate my ego.
S: No, seriously.
K: I shall do what I can.
