But she is worried about the situation in the west because she said "If we withdraw our troops and the Paks do, we have to withdraw way back and they have to withdraw a very little distance. 11 K: I have studied Indian Foreign Policy, and these characters have an enormous ability to get themselves into messes by letting events run away from them. R: That's right, and I said it's a shame you had to abandon your policy of neutrality. She said it's not a policy of neutrality; it's a policy of non- alignment, and was a matter of expedience. K: I have told Dobrynin some day they will be surprised to learn the depths of Indian ingratitude. R: I said "why do you put all your eggs in one basket?" She said "we won't if there's another basket. 11
