Hello, Henry.
K:
Hello, Mr. Vice President.
VP:
While you were away I had a chance to report personally to the
President on the trip and I gave him two memoranda.
K:
I saw them.
VP:
I noticed today there is a confidential report from Lodge on a con-
versation with Constantine that is really quite interesting. What I
was wondering was did the President have any reaction to the Greek
situation as far as the King is concerned?
K:
I frankly don't know what there was to react to.
VP: Well, it wa simply a matter that is a desire on the part of the King
to have certain information related that I did relate. Now apparently
he usbsequently said to Lodge that he can't seem to get this information
to them, but I did get it to them. What I was thinking about was the
possibility to indirectly contact him and tell him we did get it to him.
K:
I think we should do that. Do you have a way to do it?
VP:
Yes.
K:
Well, then I think we should.
VP:
Do you have any sense of anything moving there as far as the govern-
ment is concerned?
K:
I haven't had any report.
VP:
OK
K:
Well, I hope you and I can get together next week. I WO uld like to
hear about your trip personally.
VP:
All right.
