C: It's not going well.
K: Why?
C: Because the instructions our people have at the moment is that if the Russians
XIX say they will veto they shouldn't press ahead. And the Russians will veto.
K: They are? I find it unbelievable that in surrender you cannot pass a cease-
fire when a country will veto.
C: (I agree). Why should Russians veto this?
K: I don't know.
C: I think this is all I can do.
K: The major thing I want your people to understand is that we have people
dancing around on the town XX SO will you have your people check with us?
C: No one wh but you telling his anything except of course in NY.
K: Bush is our man.
C: This is state of play at the moment.
K: Should we get together on what will come out of Bermuda meeting? This
afternonn.
C: Later part?
K: 4:00.
C: I will be there.
