P: Give them that in Hawaii so we don't go into agenda talk.
K: Some Q&As I didn't see. They recommend you say we will considering
recognizing of Bangla Desh at appropriate time.
P: That was a question I had for you.
K:
Say we are studying it. You are in better shape.
P; They worked this up while you were on a X couple of other things. Does
U.S. consider Taiwan a province of China or independent nation? Say there's
a one-China policy.
of Republic of China. They both say that. It's
not fot U.S. to decide.
K: Fits with what might come out in communique.
P: We have already said --
K: As world report says we will maintain defense commitments. Don't say unless
hit head on.
P: Say covered in World Report and will not cover it here. On World Report
don't you cover Inidia - Pakistan?
K: Yes. Star has a favorable article on that. Front page and two pages inside.
Very favorable stories.
P: Good/ That's fine. Star does well by us in foreign policy field. On India/
Pakistan there are a number of questions didn't we do this and that. I will say
covered in World Report and I will stand with that. They will bring up Bangla
Desh. I will say we are studying that at the present time.
K: They may ask you -- today they asked about evidence.
P: I will say Dr. Kissinger covered that yesterday.
K: We had conclusive evidence.
P: It's in the World Report. What about the statement that India VS. Pakistan --
No -- India planned to attack.
K: And you should say we have conclusive evidence and will not discuss because
of compromise.
