TELCON Taft Schreiber/Kissinger Late morning - 4/25/72 S: Henry, we set June 3rd as a date out here. Mitchell would like to see you come out and I guess he has written a note to Bob Haldeman. K: Well, June 3 is a little early for me because we come home from Moscow the first. S: I told him I don't think he ought to count on this because of setting up a visit to Poland. Now when do you come home - the night of the first? Why don't you talk to John Mitchell about it. What this is is we have got to get together quite a group of cele- brities for the President. They need a Do you think. K: I am not supposed to speak. S: No, but this is not a public event. K: That is not my problem. It is the date. S: The other question is whether or not they think it's wise for you to brief them. Let me say this, I think we can do it Sunday the 4th or Monday the 5th. I think the Attorney General is trying to get some action or visability out here before the primary. K: Let me talk to John. S: You talk to him directly. I talked to Norton Simon. He is anxious to talk with you. K: Is he coming to Washington S: He will be in New York on Sunday. K: I couldn't do it Sunday. But if he can wait until Monday I may be able to do it. S: Will you be up in New York or should he come there? K: No, he would have to come to Washington. But let me call you about that tomorrow morning.
