I was just talking to the President and he thinks you should
think very carefully about coming back right after your Japan stop.
VP:
All right. He doesn't think I should go any place else?
K:
That's right. Because we may need you here.
VP:
I see. Whatever he wants.
K:
You were going where? To Korea?
VP:
No, I was going to Thailand. How about that other stop?
K:
Vietnam?
VP:
Yeah.
K:
Well, that's a rather good one to do.
VP;
You see, the only reason for going to Thailand was the cover
for that, Henry.
K:
Yeah. Well, why don't we leave it open to see how bad the
situation gets here.
VP:
All right.
K:
But in your own mind -- I mean don't be surprised if we pull
you back.
VP:
No, I won't. I leave that entirely to your discretion. But that
was the only reason for the other stop. We figured it would be,

of think in view of Hanoi, it might be a good one. I don't know.
