The other one of last October 11. One includes the political; the other
doesn't include the political. We have always said we are willing to
do either.

What I called you about is to see whether you can get whatever influence
you have with the Jewish groups in this country, most of whom are
accusing us of being too tough, others being too soft.
R:
Well, I'll try to explain to somebody that they're mislead; it's the
softening of the political position. Well, I'll try my best because I

K:
In any event, I think the significant occurrence is what we did, not
what we offer.
R:
Um-humm. I understand.
K:
I would have thought from the Israelis' point of view, that's the important
thing.
R:
Well, I'm going to be on Thursday on the West Coast and have talks
with two groups. One, Taft Schreiber, Cummings and others and the
other
for the Democrats between Wyman and others to --
K:
Yeah.
R:
I'll try to do it.
K:
Well, it would be very nice.
R:
But this will be on the West Coast. In New York, I'11 be only on
Sunday.
K:
Anything you can do, would be appreciated.
R:
In the meantime while we are a little bit more successful, even though
on a minor issue, on the question of the hi-jacking. Have you heard
about it?
K:
Yeah, you're pretty tough.
