PF: assure you that isn't a possibility. In a week we can't get enough
done to do that. As a practical matter, I am personally convinced that
we are not going to give any more than what you think is appropriate.
HAK: My objective is what I described, I am not sure that I know how
to get that. Practically how can we work on this.
PF: We are getting a new paper from Peterson right now in a moment
or too. I will be in the office by two or 2:30
HAK: My problem is that I have to get these briefing books done for
Russia. I have got a friend here x I have had Vietnam
on my hands and we have had a rather intense week. But I want to
be sure we are doing it right. Let me drop up to see you for 15 minutes
between 1 and 2:00.
PF: If you don't get back, forget it, we are not getting it off that track.
HAK: But your assessment is that we have to give them a little more
just as long as you make sure that the bxxxg big things they want don't
happen until September. If we can't keep them quite quiet through
the summer we will crack Vietnam.
PF: Good, I understand.
HAK: I will come up then.
