hate to bother you, but I Chiao about the idea--he thought
it would be fine--I'm

You talked to whom?
SM:
Stoppe--And I'm trying to get hold of Boggs and Ford and I am
sure they'11 think it is a good idea. We don't expect anything to
come of it, but I like to send the Secretary of the Senate up
tomorrow--with a personal invitation from the four of us and
but I'd like to have it arranged SO that
could see him
at sometime certain tomorrow--do you think you could help in
that respect?
HK:
Sure-well, I don know whether, yes--I'll give them a call.
SM:
Just to extend the invitation we expect a turn down, but we
think it might pay off in the future--
HK:
Well, I won't tell them what it is about--I'll just say that you want
to send a mesage on behalf of the Senate with a personal message
for him.
SM:
With a personal message?
HK:
Yes.
SM:
Okay, and then will you have somebody give me a call back here?
HK:
Certainly. Thank you.
SM:
Thank you very much. Bye.
