It's a wonderful job. Second, in connection with this trilateral
commission thing I mentioned to you the other day. I suppose you've
seen that some of the people in Germany are proposing a new bilateral
commission and I thought that if in your talk with Heath the subject
ever came up, it might be useful if one thought that it was insufficient
to set up new bilateral American/European commissions and that one
should add the Japanese.

I notice the New York Times picked it up. Is it Helmut Smidth (sp?) ?

I hadn't noticed it yet.

Well, the Times picked it up and had a very strong editorial favoring
it bilateral. I think that would be unfortunate if
