K: Well, given my colleagues' view about TIME, maybe what I should
do is to say I'll bring you in and you don't have to leave until the last
repatriation.
S: I'm willing to do that [laughs]. I'm willing to do that. No, but the
whole point is, Henry, is that what I ve done is talk to them about
going and doing a story simply on the whole problem of reconstruction,
the whole question of
we'd like to do actually, we'd like to do a cover
on Vietnam, , you know, the kind of country that it is, the problems,
the whole question of unification.
K: I understand it. I have no question that it would be
that you could
do a good story.
S: Well, what I d like to do is go with you and then I want to stay for at
least three weeks. I told them that I think, you know
K: Yeah, you'd have to find a way of getting in by yourself.
S: Yeah, well that's all right. But the point is if you told you had no
objection to me coming that would help a lot.
K: Okay. Good.
S: All right, now, the next question is -- I won't talk to Ziegler at all
then about going with you or anything like that.
K: No, talk to him.
S: Well, is that a possibility?
K: I doubt it, but I have no objection if you can swing it.
S: Well, I don't want to complicate things.
K: No, no, go ahead, ask him. It's entirely between you and him.
S: Okay. All right, fine.
K: Good.
S: All right. Thanks a lot.
