Sonnenfeldt is thinking about not going\nright now on the grounds that we have only bad news. That isn't\nreally quite true.\nK:\nThat isn't true at all.\nS:\nWe are signing off on a $21 million deal today.\nK:\nBesides the good news is your attitude, not any deals.\nS:\nI'm finishing up this announcement. We want to be sure the State\nDepartment isn't going to blow his lid and so on, but there would be\na structure. Third,\nK:\nThe way to keep them from blowing their lid is to give them a\ntaxixe if you ask them their opinion they will blow their lid.\nS:\nYeah. The - we can sign a protocol on the gas deal that, in effect, says\nall right.\nK:\nWell, I'm not sure we want you to do that, we may want to save that\nfor the President.\nS:\nWell, this is a kind of lets keep moving type of thing that the company\nwould sign with our permission.\nK:\nThat's fine.\nS:\nIt will keep the ball rolling a little bit and wouldn't be anything conclusive\nbut would enable us to show that we are continuing to explore this and\ndevelop it and work with it.\nK:\nThat's fine.\nS:\nAnd it kind of keeps the options open. And puts us in a posture to try\nto\nhave something ready for the President when he and Brezhnev meets.\nSo those are the things that we could--\nK:\nI'm not worried about your-- the major thing would be a very senior\nofficial with an interest and a commitment to carry out what we agreed\nto last year. That's the best news we can have for them."
