although I may be able to have some effect on the Verification Panel
and so an, and I've become ignorant and therefore my ideas won't
be worth anything. I'mot willing to be in a situation where I get
stuck with a policy that I hadn't added any inputs to, it just won't
work.
K:

Let ;me turn to a completely different subject that doesn't require
quick action but I thought I ought to tell you about and you may have
some suggestions or may want me to do something. I have been
invited by Keldisch, the President of the Soviet Union, along with
my wife and some people from CalTech, and I'm trying to get them
to include some Trustees as well as faculty, so that we can go to
some industrial places as well as academic ones. I do't know
whether that will work. But in any event Im likely to be going
and I will be seeing Keldisch,I will be going to some of their
laboratories--are klxexixx there people whom you would like me to
talk to, is there some things that you would like me to 8 nvey.
K:
When are you going.
B:
It hasn't been set. It will be this year, it may not be until, say,
September.
K:
Well why don't you get in touch with me about a month before it's
set, and then we can make a more reasonable decision.
B:
All right. That's fine.
K:
I would at least like to have you fully briefed about what our views are.
