Hello, Henry.

How are you, Dick?
W:
I'm fine. How are you?
K:
Okay.
W:
Good. Did you have a good holiday ?
K:
I haven't gone yet, I'm going tomorrow.
W:
For God's sakes, I thought you'd already gone.
K:
No.
W:
Henry, I called you because I'm a little bit embarrassed because Nancy
and I are going to that place you're going to several times and I find
that they're going to make us their guests.
K:
Well, why not?
W:
And I haven't checked in with the Department but I thought I ought to
tell you.
K:
I think that's fine.
W:
It is.
Well, I tried to do it myself -- our daughter had a terrific trip.
We're going to leave Paris for Shanghai on the 5th of April.
K:
Well, Dick, I think you could probably afford it if you paid for it.
W:
I think I should be able to work it out.
K:
So I don't think that anyone will suspect you of any ulterior motive there.
W:
(laughter) We 11, I just thought you ought to be informed about it, that's all.
K:
Well, that's very nice of you. Are you coming ever to Washington?
W:
Well, I hadn't planned on it.
