Very well delivered and I thingk it serves its purpose extremely well. As far as the domestic opinion is concerned the story will be on themat prices. P: Oh, yes, that'11 ;override everything else. K: We certai nly don't want to debate on Vietnam right now. P: No, but the point is I knew that would override, but it's well to remind the people about Vietnam and about-- K: Oh, no, I think it's very good, because if you had only Vietnam it would have been-- P: They say that's old story. K: Well, and you would have had Fulbright and everybody- P: We stuck a lot to them here. K: And as far as our chief audiences are concerned on foreign policy in Peking, Moscow and Hanoi this was a very strong speech. And it will have it s effect. P: Well that's the main thing. I think it will have an effect on the American people too, it stiffen their backs on the defense stuff which I think we did, I mean it was very hard and-- K: And also it for the first explained the reason for the impoundment. I for one didn't know, for example, that we had increased some of these social welfare expenditures. P: Doubled. K: By the amount that we had. P: That Truman thing, the buck stops here, I thought was pretty good.
