2 S: So I think it may be working it's way out but what they really want is - they are involved in a little effort of overkill. They've got a pretty good case on proving the defense interests but they are trying to make the extra point to prove that this revelation would have - or did- - destroy the prospects of negotiations. K: Right. OK. S: Now my whole Cambodian thing should be out with you somewhere. I think they sent it out by LDX this morning. K: I hope it's fairly tough. S: It's fairly tough and it suggests a trip by Al. I talked with Al. He's more or less resigned to the idea, but there was also a cable in this morning which I don't think pertains to the mixture I think you can still go ahead with K: What cable is that? S: Well, there are a couple of talks that Swank and Enders (?) have had with some of the politicians who indicate had secondhand some of the things that they think is going on but I think that's not a substitute for a direct confrontation. K: Right, are you going to be out on Monday? S: Am I going to be out? K: Yeh, S: Out where? K: In San Clemente. S: No, no. Bill Porter is going to be out. K: OK. Well, they sent us a message and I'd like a scorcher of a reply. I'll get Kennedy to take it up with you. S: You mean your Ducky. K: Ducky. S: OK. I'll get a hold of Mr. Kennedy. When do you want the answer?
