Well I tell you, I told Dick Campbell, my deadline for this week
ia I have to turn in a piece by Wednesday at 10:00. But actually
if it is not an imposition on you, I'd like to take a little time with
this, it's been a good two years I think since I've done the
conisdered piece on the structure and working through your staff.
K:
Right.
O:
See some of your people and then come to you after--
K:
I think that would be better.
O:
Rowland is doing an off the cuff thing you know, and even with the
help only, I talk to you--
K:
The trouble is my people wouldn't all necessarily know this
reorganization very well.
O:
Well that may be, they would at least have a feel of how it stands
anyway.
K:
Probably.
O:
And--
K:
Also, I have to profess, they're also the most rebellious staff.
O:
Well I can appreciate that. But rebellious wouldn't be my word,
but, my impression over these years have been you also have a
staff that's more than worthwhile if I can see them.
K:
I think that's right.
O:
Seriously, if it's all right with you, I'd like to get around a little
bit, and of course, to get around you, as you well know Dr.
Kissinger, I must--your people, the word has to know it's all
right with you.
K:
Okay. Well whom do you want to talk to.
O:
Well just off the base of my hat, I'd like to start with Scowcroft,
Col Kennedy was very helpful to me a couple of years ago.
