Rush - HAK
HAK: Ken, how are you.
Rush: Well I'm fine, but I had no idea you'd called me. I was out playing
golf with Mel Larrd this afternoon, Your old friend.
HAK: Well, I like Mel. Ken, I have had a very violent response from the
Chinese about this
adjournment of UNCURK. They say that we
pretty much promised them to abolish UNCURK, if they play ball. Now can
you take a look into the possibility of that and let me know by Monday.
Rush:
Yes, I will, Henry. We discussed that you know.
HAK: Well, as I remember, you said you preferred they the adjournment.
Rush: At least the last time we discussed it, and I gave you a paper on it,
we were wondering whether or not we could do away with UNCURK. And
what has happened since? I didn't know anything had happened.
HAK: Well, personally, I have only personally told the Chinese what we
are thinking of and asked for their comments. And they didn't comment
about dropping the issue. They did comment though about the adjournment,
XXXX saying the only they'd consider is the abolishing.
Rush: I see. Well, the adjournment was all we really words were discussing.
HAK: Well, could you take a look at it. I don't need it before Monday evening.
Rush: I'11 be in touch with you Monday.
But do they think
we should abolish UNCURK entirely?
HAK: That's right.
Rush: We hoped to get something for that, as you remember.
HAK: To drop the Korea item from the agenda.
Rush: Right. Well, let me look into it.
HAK: You see what I mean.
Rush: Yes, I do. I really haven't looked at it since you and tax I talked
the last time. And nothing has happened since then, has it?
