S: And part of the assessment is Haig's visit. But out of that visit is

K: I do not now anticipate an immediate major announcement.
S: Okay, fine. I just feel that the fragments of this story, and it's my
own problem, because, you know, first the South Vietnam buildup and then
the Cambodians thing, you know, that the XXXXXXXX reader gets the impression
that North Vietnam is just moving all over the lot.
K: It is moving all over the lot.
S: So you're saying that it moving all over lot but we haven't reached
the President.
K: No, we are trying to deal with it, but we don't have to, you know,
we are under no obligation to gear outselves to any artificial deadline.
S: And I take then there isn't any meeting between you and Le Duc Tho,
etc. being set up.
K: What do you mean you take it? That no one was saying anything like
that. (Sherman laughs) What I am saying is we are trying to deal with
this in a variety of ways. We are not heading into a major announcement
which immediately results from the Haig trip, and we won't go beyond that.
S: Yeah, OK. Thanks a lot.
K: OK . Bye.
