Joe, how are you?

Well, I'm very well. How was your trip?
K:
It was very interesting.
A:
Well, I judged that you would have an announcement about this
Watergate horrer.
K:
Oh, come. You know don't you fall for the stupidities of the press.
A:
Well, I don't know. I didn't know they'd said that.
K:
It's all set and the only reason we haven't had an announcement is
because I wanted to get the President some publicity and therefore
we are making it tomorrow.
A:
Uh, huh. You won't have any announcement yourself. The whole city
is talking about it.
K:
About what?
A:
Your elevation.
K:
I doubt it seriously.
A:
I pray for it. If the President really wants to put a new face on his
administration he's already gone very far but that would be the obvious
thing to do and I know it's been recommended.
K:
Well, but
A:
And I just pray for it but I'm not going to write about it so there you are.
K:
I do not want any more Alsopian articles.
A:
No, I knew that and that's why I'm not even going to write about it until
it's been announced. The other thing Henry, is that Nancy, the sweet
thing, said that she'd love to come to lunch on Sunday.
