TELCON Forrest Boyd (Mutual Broadcasting)/Mr. Kissinger 6:43 pm, May 14, 1973 B: You might have some reaction or maybe answer to some questions that this raises. I think that it was said there that the records had been sent over at your request, is that right or not? K: That is not right. What records? B: Wire tapping records. And one of them was Halperin, that's the only one that he named. K: Summaries of the investigations of people that were in my jurisdiction or regarding documents in my jurisdiction were sent to me for a period in the early of the Administration, not for the whole period of these taps. B: I see. Then you wouldn't have any idea of about how these got to Ehrlichman then? They wouldn't have come through your office? K: Well, for the time that they came to me that part of them that came to me could have gone to Ehrlichman but I only received summaries. I never received records. B: see. Only summaries. K: Yes. B: Okay. K: I have no idea how they got to Ehrlichman's office. B: All right. And I'm wondering too why they may have been kept. Now the story I guess that is saying K: I had nothing to do with it. the B: Yeah. Nothing on/national security question there? there K: Well, / may have been a national security question outside my jurisdiction. B: Not so far as you know? K: I had nothing to do with it. B: Yeah. Now Saturday you said something about getting FBI reports and then maybe you would have something to say after that. Have you gotten that yet?
