Page 2 SA: And I'm sure Johnson had his share too. HK: Oh yes. No actually if the total numbers are less tix in this Administration than in previous ones. SA: Those connected with NSC? HK: With national security done legally--I don't know what the plumbers did and so forth. SA: I don't know I think the world's gone mad in my view--I do we in lawful trouble. HK: The viscious way they are attacking the government is really --I just came back from that Iceland meeting where we achieved exactly what we wanted which was to force the French into a procedure to discuss the year of Europe but not get into substance. We want the procedure of forums where we could isolate the French--we didn't want a substantive confrontation in Iceland where it was one on one. Well the way the press wrote it it was as if it was tabx a debacle. But that isn't why I'm calling you, how are you? SA: I'm a little pooped, I spent 10 days fighting pneumonia. HK: I understand from Joe you are much better. SA: It's just that I'm a little--the battle was a rather close one. My doctor says my white cells are like Napoleon though God--futile but resourceful and brave-- got the pneumonia under control. HK: How is it-=did it trigger off an improvement in your blood count again. SA: Not yet, we're hoping and hoping. HK: Everytime you are sick I'm xxxxlx relieved hoping it would start that-- Where are you now? SA: I'm in the country place where I keep hoping to get you two for a weekend. How's Nancy? HK: She's fine, she's here. SA: Joe said the crowd was-- HK: Quite moving and old Joe when he rises to the occasion after swearing he wouldn't deliver a toast couldn't bear the thought of so many people speaking and him being silent and got off a pretty good one. SA: I hear it said Nancy was taller than God which is pretty tall.
