Amb. Dobrynin/Mr. Kissinger
7:40 p.m., June 1, 1973
D:
Yes.
K:
Anatol.
D:
Oh-h-h, hello, Henry.
K:
How are you?
D:
How are you ? How was
in Iceland?
K:
Oh-h-h, it's a miserable place. You must have places like this
in the Soviet Union. I guess Murmansk is like that.
D:
Oh, well, I think we have better place. (laughter)
K:
I'm sure you have better places.
D:
Yeah, I think it's better places. I don't want to offend Iceland, good
for second country but still. (laughter) How are you?
K:
I am fine.
D:
Yeah. I notice -- I read today your interview with this fellow
correspondent in the plane about the coming visit. I think it was
quite all right.
K:
Oh, they didn't do any damage.
D:
No. What I shown on ticker, none at all.
K:
I thought it would begin to focus attention.
D
No, no; I think it was quite all right. Henry, now we're having this
trouble with this frequencies, really.
K:
Yeah.
D:
Today I received from Gromyko -- Up till now I was here trying
but maybe tomorrow I now -- You give one frequency. I send it
now to Moscow and then probably I will tomorrow --
K:
Well, Scowcroft tells me he thinks it's solved now.
