Okay.

I wondered if there is anything you could talk about before you go
back to Paris. I'm doing a story on the shape of the peace talks.
K:
No, , I think I'd better not until I, uh, we have an agreement with
the North Vietnamese.
F:
Well, can we talk in general terms about the optimism or pessimism.
Do things look pretty good? Do you expect this to wrap it up?
K:
Well, I've always gotten myself into trouble by being optimistic.
I'm reasonably confident that we can wrap it up.
F :

In this next round?
K:
Yeah.
F :
How long do you expect that to take? Be back by the end of the week?
K:
Oh, certainly.

Okay. Very good. Well I think I understand your situation with the North.
