He and McNamara are great friends.
K:
Well McNamara is beating him almost senseless as a national
duty so don't you show any less enthusiasm. I really think it
is a national duty. Besides he can write a book about my love life
when he gets through.
S:
He can huh.
K:
He's going to need the money.
S:
Your love life is made up of East Asians?
K:
No really I think at this stage if we can baring together an exciting
group of men of high property and dedication and if he can do a
job in the whole area of East Asia the way he did in Japan and in
view of the fact what the Japanese would SXXX see in this a sign
of tremendous reassurance. There is just no one else who can
do it. I can't bring in. There must be somebody like him around.
But no ones whos been Ambassador for 2 1/2 years and this is not
a job you can bring an outsider in for.
S:
Well, he'd be good at it. I don't have any doubt about that.
K:
Be a little less traditious than you usually are. A little wreckless
like I am.
S:
