Page 4 office all these papers went-- but he then left, frankly because I didn't ever give him anything to do, so he quit and threemonths after he quit, long after the tap had been terminated, he started working for thecommittee. R: Okay. But you didn't say the tap was terminated. K: Because I didn't want to admit that he was being tapped. Because it makes you subject to a legal suit R: I see. You handled - - Henry, you see you had told me it had gone pretty well and it was rough, but I just wanted to tell you that I thought it was superb, absolutely superb K: Aren't you nice. R: And the strength that you portrayed and--th clarity of this thin g is just inspiring. Im' just thrilled. K: Well I hope to see you soon R: I do to, and Edward Teller is here, we're having lunch. He tells me Johnny Foster is going with somebody else. K: He is going to the Packett (?) R: No he's not going with Packett--it is some other company that is split off from Hughes that's working on energy. And Edward is going to retire next year and I'm going to take him on the Board and when he retires I'll take him on and he wants to get this fellow Hans Marks-- K: Excellent man. R: Do you know him? K: I've met him, yes. R: You have. He's the son of Edward's professor. K: No, he's excellent R: And then I take him on full time for strategic energy and this question of education and the sciences and let Edward later be full time, but on the Board and supervising - how does that sound? K: Excellent.
