D: By some mysterious way I find you call.
K: We have had some intelligence information that substantial
Egyptian military concentrations around Israeli bridgeheads on the
West Bank and it would be a disaster if military operations start
again.
D: West, yes. This is rumor.
K: I can not judge that.
D: You want me to pass this on to Msocow?
K: I think it is important that resumption os hostilities be prevented.
We have told the Israelis we will not condone any attack by them.
D: Are they moving. . or in a deadlock.
K: I think essentially in a deadlock. I don't think they can make a
settlement in these talks.
D: Did you explain to Egyptians one hundred times..
K: Yes, 100 times. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday - yes.
But on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, - I am not so sure.
D: What is your estimate?
K: My estimate is that they can be made to understand that they are
bluffing. They can recognize..
D: Up to now, the Egyptians have mentioned to us..
K: I am not sure. . we just know about the concessions. We don't know
what they intend to do about it.
D: No, not soecifically.
K: Nothing serious
if they do we will
them you can be sure. We
will not go along with any Israeli moves.
D: OK, Henry. . goodbye.
