Secretary Kissinger
George Vest
1/22/74; 9:44 a. m.
K: Hello.
V: Sir, George Vest. When you left me yesterday on the press conference
you said keep it tentative and I wanted to confirm whether you would be doing
it or not at 12:00.
K: What do you think? Should I do it today?
V: I think you should do it today, sir. The sooner the better.
K: Okay. Do I have have to make an opening statement or can I go right
into questions?
V: I think you could go right into questions because the press this morning
is so completely filled in on the Mid East and it leaves it to them to go on
from there.
K: Okay, well let's set it.
V: Yes, sir.
K: Thank you.
V: Right.
