K : Mr. President, I just wanted to let you know that I have had a long cable from Saudi Arabia. I think there's still another part coming. If you write a letter tomorrow that, then, over the week-end we can work out SO that you can announce it in your State of the Union address. N: Letter to whom? K: To Faisal. N: Good. Good. This is the greatest thing we could possibly do. Apart from the damn embargo, it wouldn't amount to anything anymore. K: All you have to do is give him reassurance. N: Why don't you prepare a letter and bring it over tomorrow. I'll add a few scribbled notes. K: We'll send it over tomorrow, Mr. President. N: That's good news. How's your confidence? You're not getting discouraged? K: Not at all. I thought you were in very good form this morning. N: Well. I thought that our friend Which meeting were you at? K : I was at both. N: I thought that Simon was a wipe-out. K: A disaster. N: I felt I had to say a few things. Didn't you? K: You saved him.
