something about his not coming to Europe.

S: I will have to look at it because that was in the original telegram
and we retyped the telegram and it must have been dropped out of it.
It said -- what ever the phrase was--that V under the circumstances
I don't think I can accept your invitation. It is not appropriate to
consider it. You want to say again what we would want or what we
think would be essential in this view would either lead to further
facilitating argument or what
K: Or else we would be forced to obscure the real problem by some
meaningless formula.
