4:20 PM
H: Yes, Henry.
K: Al, I had arranged while I was in Saltzburg to drop over to
Garden and
see the German Foreign Minister.
H: Yes.
K: Whom I had to cancel out three times and who's been dying to see me.
I'm assuming it isn't going to cause any heartburn.
H: Well, I don't think so, I hope not. I wouldn't see how it could. We've got
a full day with nothing to do.
K: I have arranged for Schmidt and Wilson to meet him in Brussels on the 26th.
On the way to Moscow.
H: Right. OK.
K: And to sign the NATO declaration there.
H: Let me run this xxxxx by him tomorrow.
K: Well, it's practically prozen, you can run it by him
H: I mean in a sense of
K: Don't give him any options.
H: That's right. Packing it up, you know, I mean he has to know, he can know
it in the midst of our going over the SS schedule. I'll just routinely
K: Just put in on the Germans.
H: Yes, exactly. And the purpose is, therefore, to be sure we have a good
Boxsess Brussels thing too.
K: Exactly. And that we couldn't get Schmidt there because then there
wouldn't have been a Brussels thing.
H: Right, exactly. OK. Fine Henry.
K: OK.
