E: I know. I replied to his letter several weeks ago saying you were out
of town and we'd get an answer as soon as you got back.
K: For example, what it is that is holding up an answer to the Alfred E. Smith
dinner?
E: Alfred Smith.
K: Alfred Smith dinner. That used to be considered something the Presidential
XXXXX candidates fight for. Now why do we not anser that? Or i at texatx least
get me a recommendation. How many hundreds of people have to analyse that?
E: I intend to check that in the morning.
K: How about that award from the Caxxeigreen Carnegie thing that I gave you
yesterday. I just want to know what the procedure is.
E: The procedure is that on those they go down to PA for a recommendation
and they usually pull together in one and they apparently take too damn long.
I'll have to sit down with George Springsteen and work up a system I guess.
K: I want both of these back up tomorrow and I want no letter held for more
t han three days.
E: OK. Alright I'll have it for you and the Sonnenfeldt thing.
K: OK.
