Sure, I think that's all right.
K:
That will take care of it.
L:
Any other problems.
K:
No, I think -- what's your political judgment, Mel, how much heat
are we going to take on that Laos operation?
L:
Well, we'll take some heat on it. I think we will take some heat
on it for awhile but we would have taken heat on it anyway.
K:
Oh, yeah.
L:
I think that when this airstrike surfaces about Wednesday -- you know
they will be writing about that a little bit starting about Wednesday.
They won't really be able to figure it out but these guys are counting
airplanes over there that are around these air bases.
K:
Yeah.
L:
Those pilots will be talking about where they went so they really
won't figure this out until about Wednesday -- they will try to tie
that up with the Laos thing, they are already trying to.
K:
Right.
L:
But we will make it okay.
K:
Okay and you do some briefing together with Moorer tomorrow of
selected groups of Congressmen and Senators.
L:
Yeah.

And you bring them into the Pentagon or go up to the Hill, whichever
you want.
L:
We'll do it the easiest way for them, we'll work it out.
K:
Well, you are the expert at that.

Right.
