Yeah, Henry
K:
How are you, I just talked to the President again.
M:
Yeah, I talked to him about the whole follow-up a little bit. He just
wanted to chat about it.
K:
Yeah, yeah.
M:
Say we were talking about --
K:
Yeah, we were talking about Abrams. Now what is it he hasn't done
before, I thought he had given briefings to the press.
M:
Well, I think he has been present on occasion but he hasn't personnally
given --
K:
[Phone ringing] Excuse me -- the other phone.
Tom, it's the President again -- can you stand by?
M:
Yeah, call me back.
Continued Conversation
M:
Yeah, Henry.
K:
Tom, I think that should do it now.
M:
Okay. I mean I thought I'd tell him -- what he is concerned about is
he will be asked why has he changed his pattern SO to speak. I think
he ought to say that he just feels there have been some lack of clear
information on the operation he would like to speak to. Secondly, he
brought up the point of what does he say if asked whether he was
directed to do this. He says he would answer yes, he has been asked
to do it in order to clarify some of the points he is going to make,
that's his position right now.
K:
Yeah, but then if he is asked by whom?
M:
Well, he could say I did it.
