TELECON (Tape) Admiral Moorer 3/21/71 Brought in 3/22 M: Henry. K: Hello, Tom. M: Good morning, how's -- I had to make a lot of telephone calls, I'm just trying to get it all shaped up. K: Right, that's okay. M: Alright, first the A operation, of course, we don't have all the information because the Navy planes have only been on the deck 20 minutes. K: Right. M: That's one of them but we are accumulating all this for you we are getting bits and pieces in. K: How does it look? M: It looks good, all the Air Force planes are out, no losses. We don't have a report yet on the Navy planes because they are just landing now. We will have that this morning of course. K: Right. M: They seemed to have wiped out all those missile sites in good fashion which will be helpful and of course supports our press statement on the subject. K: Right. M: And now then I just been talking to Abrams not less than 5 minutes ago about the next step.- It looks like they will have a repeat on the weather so I just think if they -- after they look at the targets, they want to evaluate the targets to see whether it is worthwhile. K: Let's do one more and that would be it. M: Yeah, all right. Now, so I will be feeding you this information when I get it all together. K: Excellent. M: Now, I asked him about the backgrounder -- he said he thought the backgrounder went well, he said that he answered all the questions -- no one
