April 8, 1969.
My dear Mr. Kissinger:
Acting on instructions from my Minister
of Foreign Affairs, I wish to inform you that he
is in complete agreement with the letter that Señor
Aguirre de Carcer addressed to you on the 1st of
April, and that furthermore he would be most grate-
ful if you would kindly make known to the President
that he corroborates its contents in every way.
I have not given up hope of being able to
visit you whenever suitable, perhaps after April 13th
when I shall be returning to Washington from San
Diego.
Yours sincerely,
Marquis of Merry del Val
The Honorable
Henry A. Kissinger,
Assistant to the President,
for National Security Affairs,
The White House,
