Message from Premier (hou are Lai
Premier Choce eu Lai thanked President Yahya
for conveying the message of President Nixon on
5 Jan 71. Premier Chou eu Lai is very grateful to
President Yahya and he will be grateful if President
Yahya conveys the following Verbatine message to
President Nixon.
"Owing to the setuation at the time, it
has not been possible to raply earlier to the
message from the President of the USA to the Premier
of People's Republic of Chesia
At present contacts between the
peoples of China and the limited states are
being renewed. However, if the relatin
between Chuia and the USA are to be restored
freendamentally , the US must withdraw all its
Armed forces from Chrias Taiwan and
