Wednesday, September 16, 2009 Page 1 of 1 May 16, 1968 Dear Mr. Gouzenko: Mr. Nixon is campaigning in Oregon but before leaving he asked me to respond to your thoughtful letter of April 16 and to thank you for the most interesting printed material that you enclosed. I happened to discuss your "memorandum" with a publisher friend and he expressed great interest in the possibility of your writing a book. The publisher said he could guarantee a sale of 15,000 copies. If you are interested, you may write: Mr. Neil McCaffrey Arlington House 81 Centre Avenue New Rochelle, New York 10801 Mr. McCaffrey said that if you prefer you may telephone him collect at area code 914 -- 636- 3850.
