Dear Mr. Gouzenko:
Mr. Nixon is campaigning in Oregon but
before leaving he asked me to respond to your
thoughtful letter of April 16 and to thank you
for the most interesting printed material that
you enclosed.
I happened to discuss your "memorandum"
with a publisher friend and he expressed great
interest in the possibility of your writing a
book. The publisher said he could guarantee
a sale of 15,000 copies. If you are interested,
you may write:
Mr. Neil McCaffrey
Arlington House
81 Centre Avenue
New Rochelle, New York 10801
Mr. McCaffrey said that if you prefer you
may telephone him collect at area code 914 -- 636-
3850. Please be assured that Mr. McCaffrey is a
thoroughly reliable person and one in whom you
may have every confidence.
Sincerely yours,
Agnes M. Waldron
