It is hard to realize that 25 years ago we were
celebrating that first victory which sent me to
Congress. There have been many great days
since then but none will ever equal that campaign
or the thrill of that particular day. Without your

This is to advise that I substituted temporarily for
Bob Swain on Cave Man's Membership Committee and that the Com-
mittee then approved for membership in our Camp Bob Swain's
son-in-law, Bruce Cole. You will recollect that Bruce was a guest
at Cave Man two years ago and last year he visited Camp on various
occasions while staying at Bromley. Bruce is a delightful young man
and will make a fine addition to our Camp. We are fortunate to have
him.

Dear Duke:
It was most thoughtful of you to send me the
generous supply of slacks. I have never seen
so many different and handsome fabrics and
colors. The slacks fit perfectly and I have
followed your suggestion that I keep some in
Key Biscayne and at Camp David -- and I
plan to take some out to San Clemente the end
of this month.
If I don't relax when I visit any of these three
places it certainly won't be your fault! Ser-
iously, I am most grateful for your generosity
and I hope it won't be too long before I will
have the pleasure of thanking you personally.
