Dear Rose:
Your letter of December 4th, together with the
enclosures, were here in the office when I got back late last
Friday night.
On the Key Biscayne Water Company bill, we have already
written them asking that they change the billing address. As far
as Mr. Axelson's rent payment is concerned, I will talk to him
and ask him to send us the checks directly which we can deposit
in the President's general account without any necessity for his
endorsement. This will cut down on some of the paper work
there in your office. I think a weekly mailing by your office
to us of bills and other items as they come along would be often
enough. of course, there may be some items requiring urgent
treatment which we can handle apart from the regular routine.
It was good to see you when I was in Washington. Hope
that you will be able to be out here over the holidays.
Best regards,
Hut

MEMORANDUM FOR ROSE WOODS
mething Ch. for in out her to clut
The $24.00 expense was for the President's golf cart, Bob Hope's
golf cart, and Secretary Laird's golf cart -- all of which were
charged to the President.
As per our conversation, I imagine the best method of payment is
by check.
J.N. Jack BRENNAN

Tod Hullin discussed this with John Ehrlichman
last night and John felt that the contribution
shoul d not be used in their publicity until the
strike is taken care of. He said he would call
Nancy Size.
He said that in the future this sort of thing is
Haldeman's "bag" -- under the reorganization
XSXX John will not be handling PR any more.

Dear Rose:
This is just a note to thank
you for your October 28 letter and the Presi-
dent's contribution to the National Syphony.
We are having terrible labor problems and the
musicians back playing again by mid-November.
Do you think the President
would object if we made it known that he had
made a contribution, even under these diffi-
cult circumstances? Give me a call at Sterling
3-1647 on this if you can.
Sincerely yours,

Dear Mr. Lund:
Recently I have had the occasion to discuss with Mr. C. Arnold
Brown of KWB Oil Property Management, Inc., the availability
of selling Miss Tricia Nixon's interests in both the Albright

cussed the matter with you and that you would be willing to

At. your earliest convenience will you kindly inform me as to
your intentions as outlined above, and by copy of this letter to
Mr. Brown I am asking that he proceed to prepare the necessary

interests.

was the "lady" who called the Axelsons
about the August rent since my records in-

I told Mrs. Axelson who I was but apparently
she didn't understand anything that I said

I would try to call her husband back but
he doesn't arrive home until quite late, so
I never had a chance to talk to him per-

Dear Miss Woods:
About a month ago a lady called and asked my wife if we had paid
the rent for the month of August.
Being that there is another David Axelson - David B. Axelson - in
this area, my wife thought that this concerned him as we have had
to answer quite alot of tel. calls for this other party, she told
the caller that she must have the wrong number. And so she explained
to her that there is a David E. Axelson. But the lady told her that
she wanted to talk to David H. Axelson. My wife could not get this
right about the rent and never thought it concerend us, until she
was asked if we do not send the check to Washington. And the lady
said that the check for Aug. was not received by them. She was 80-
ing to call later in the day when I was home.
We have never heard anything more and in my last Bank Statement the
canceled check was not in it ( no. 962 mailed to you on July 29.70)
and consequently it must be lost.
Enclosed you will find together with the payment for November, a
check for the month of August making up for the missing check.
Sorry that we did not get it straight who was calling at this OC-
cation.
Sincerely yours

PERSONAL & CONFIDENTIAL
Dear Herb:
I am enclosing bills from Harry Winston, Inc., and
Georgetown Haberdasher and would appreciate your
having them paid as promptly as possible. The
Winston bills just arrived a few days ago - they are
notoriously late in billing! The one from the
Georgetown Haberdasher had been kicking around
between Divight and Commander Larson with the
thought it could be handled otherwise. This was not
possible-so!
There are more invoices to come from Winstons -
I do not know how many - nor when we will receive
them but I know Mrs. Nixon has bought several things
and we will just have to wait until Don Carnevale sends
the invoices to us.
I hope it will not be too long before I will have the
pleasure of seeing you again - in the meantime, warmest
personal regards to you and Barbara.

needed to complete the one hundred bed - 4.9 million dollar hospital
will be between $700,000 and 1.2 million dollars.
